It was an initiative to produce and market 100% natural food meant for babies as per the recipe followed by grandmas.

In 1990 there was hardly any company in India manufacturing baby food that was 100% natural. In that scenario Babyvita was made available in the market in1991. In 2005 a modern manufacturing facility was established at Kottakkal under the name Safety Foods Pvt. Ltd. In order to fulfill the increasing demand of the product in the market. Now the company is in the process of market expansion all over India and abroad.

Infrastructure

Safety Foods Pvt. Ltd. Is well equipped to produce quality products. We have separate area for raw material storage, for production, packing and a very spacious ware house for storing the finished products. The production area is highly sterile and equipped with dehumidifier in order to prevent ingress of moisture in to the food that may spoil the product and allows microbial.

There is enough facilities for employees to wash their hands before entering the factory. Change rooms are provided to keep their street cloths and wear clean uniform.

Navara rice is used in the preparation of Babyvita products. Considered as treasure among paddy varieties, it is an early maintaining crop grown in various part of Kerala. Navara is a traditional rice of medicinal properties finds mention in ancient Ayurveda texts like Ashtangahridaya and Sushrutha Samhitha, Which refers to it as a “Pios grain” used in auspicious occasions. This rice is used in the manufacture of Babyvita Products.

The Natural goodness and purity of the cereals and fruits are constantly monitored through out the production processes, making Babyvita special for the baby. Babyvita brings out products packed in airtight intact Aluminum foil laminated pouches. The pouches are then placed either in duplex boxes or in plastic containers.
